after dissconnecting my ignition switch to fix a wiring problem the truck wouldnt start again,i had to download the factory program back in it in order to get it to start.called diablo this mornong and they really didnt have much to say about it.im a little hesitant to reinstall the program worried about it not starting again and mabey damaging something else.any thoughts???

looked at your post and its really not the same problem....my truck was driven into the shop with the tune installed 3 hrs later would not start till i put the factory tune back in.I am concerned with the possibility of the programmer now having a problem and not loading correctly when i try to put the progam back in

 

If your relly that cautious, just send it to Diablo, as they have a great return policy, and let them check it out.

 

The way I understood the guy I talked with was that the cummins will 'forget' sometimes. He said it usually happens when not being used for awhile but that it could happen anytime. He said if the tool says to reload original then what it is doing is resetting itself. If you successfully reloaded original (and the truck runs) the way I understood the tech - you can try to load a tune.

I can understand how you feel. I didnt want to touch mine either when it acted up on me.

I just run mine on the Extreme tune all the time don't even worry with the lower setting anymore the power is so smooth. I even tow with it in that setting.
