Question Popping Noise in Steering

Last week I installed my Lorenz leveling kit and Thuren trac bar. So far so good until tonight. Navigating the parking lot I noticed a popping in my steering that only occurs when going to full lock either way. I figure tomorrow morning I'll go through and re-tighten everything, but just looking under the truck tonight nothing "seemed" wrong.

Any ideas on what I should look for when under the truck?

like you said go through and re-tighten everything back up hopefully that works...that would be my first place to start.
did something get put in backwards so that it comes in contact with the steering components??
just throwing out some ideas???

it could be TONS of things. shocks, tie rods, blah, blah.

my popping issues turned out to be 2 bad tie rod ends. Only occured at low speed when turning, more common if hitting a pot hole or speed bump.

I dont know what's up. Still popping. Everything is tight and aligned.

The power steering pump went out twice, thought maybe that may have been the cause. But no. I dont know what else the issue could be. I've had it on jacks pretty much every weekend.

All I know is it's annoying and I dont even feel like driving my truck. It pretty much just sits in the driveway and I have little faith in it.

Hey David, whats going buddy?

The blue truck in my sig has this same issue, ever since the PS box quite and a new one was replaced. Before the box went out, it would do the same thing you are describing. We've check the tie rod, front end ect, and it all looks fine. We even put new bushings in the control arms. It still does it everynow and then.

I don't know what it is but it dosen't realy bother me that much, it's not my truck and I know mine dosen't do it.

You ever get that massive turbo installed?

Everything is good. Just wish I could figure this problem out.

Ive pretty much left the truck the way it is except for these springs and waiting on bumpers. After that Im pretty much done and everything will be stored or sold. Im pretty much burned out on this thing. I went from driving it 600 miles a week, now maybe once a week. Last time it got filled up was march 29th if that's any indication.

I have zero confidence in this thing until whatever is wrong gets figured out.

i am sure this is not it

but are the tires rubbing on something at full lock. Does this only happen while moving, or not moving. May help to eliminate some posible areas.

Mine had similar noises, turned out that my sway bar ends were hitting my coils. It sounded like it was comming from the steering, but it actually was not. Longer extensions solved the problem.

That sucks David, is it just the poping noise thats buggin you or is it multiple stuff, like the price of fuel? lol

Hit me up w/ a PM for what you want to sell, I may be interested in some stuff.

So what are you driving now?

Just this one thing is bugging me. Just because it's so minute and should be a simple fix, but a month later nothing.

If fuel price was an issue, the deuce and a half wouldnt have replaced the truck another daily driver. But it's the 2.5 ton or the 01 Mustang.
