piaa extreme white plus

I purchased " extreme white plus- cool blue white " replacement bulbs. 120/110W, and the package says 4000Kelvin. Does anyone use these, and do I need to change anything up, because of the heat??

well if they are actually 120/110W then you are gonna end up burning your factory wiring harness(the female connection) cause they are gonna get HOT!! these trucks lights soo bad .. there seem to be no cure for the poor lighting,, i did add real hid lights to my factory fogs and they have made a huge difference..

good luck with your lights .. but i recommend not putting that kinda wattage in the factory lights ..

My son's truck has the Silverstars, and they helped a bit. I aimed them just slightly higher as well. I think it's what's behind them that really makes a difference, and Dodge should have changed that by 06 when they changed the headlight assembly, but they don't seem much different according to my brother. DOES anyone have these PIAA Extreme White Plus?? Have you run them very long??

If they are the Extreme White Plus, then are they not a higher wattage?? The packaging says they are. I know what you mean about price, but I bought them on a Boxing Day sale at 1/3 price- $120 bulbs for $40. You say you have them, so did they fry your female connector?? (I have the bulbs, and want to know if they are OK to use without doing damage.)

from what I understand the 65/55 w is the actual voltage and 120/110w is the brightness they appear to be. 65 being the high beam and 55 being the low beam wattage used.

I wouldnt waste your $$$ on any of these aftermarket bulbs. Keep it stock or go HID's for $225

Try a Search and you will find many posts on affordable HID's.

Ive tried everything and wasnt happy until I pony'ed up $170 for HID's

I couldnt put a price on my and my family's saftey any longer.

I wonder what the wattage is on the stock bulbs? Also, has anyone actually installed the Extreme White Plus, and used them for a period of time?

PIAA Xtreme White Plus halogen and driving light bulbs project a brilliant cool white light that comes very close to the color of expensive High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting systems. Many Xtreme White Plus headlight bulbs feature PIAA Xtra high efficiency design that produces greater light output than their rated power consumption (for example, a bulb that consumes 45/65W of electricity has a light output that is similar to most 95/120W bulbs).

This is what I found so far, so if the wattage of ours is 45/65 for dims and brights, I'd assume they'd be ok to run as is?

ELogan, which HID setup did you go with and how does it look with the stock headlite reflectors? I've read that changing to an HID setup but keeping the stock head light assembly is not the best way to go about it...
