new tranny or just a few parts?

with the smarty being my only mod to date, an arc intake, afe system and exhaust to come what is my best option.

my truck is almost strictly a daily driver, no towing.

my mechanic says i would need a torque converter, valve body, 2nd gear band, and tranny pan, possibly a billet input shaft.

with the possibility of a 230hp tune coming from smarty and the other mods i mentioned, will all this be enough for my 48re?

i would like to pull the sled just once at the local fair but i dont foresee that becoming a reality.

I'd add a flexplate to the list, and ensure you keep the billet input on as well

You need to update your sig. It says "stock tranny." It needs to read "broken tranny."
