need fuel filter help?

I'm currently running a fleetguard fs1212 and a fleetguard ff5320 on the frame rails of my 05 with a wix in the factory housing. It's time to replace these and I was wanting a true 2 micron filter and a 10 micron f/w under the truck. I was looking at the fleetguard fs1000 but it's almost 10" tall and will hang too low. I couldn't find a length on the cat 1r-0750, but it looks too tall also. What do ya'll recommend? I've been looking online all night and can't find anything. I plan to replace the wix with the baldwin PF7977 but don't know what to do on the others. I felt like i needed a 10 micron in front of the 2 mic to help it last longer, or am i wrong? The fs1212 is a perfect fit and I know (from reading all the posts here) it's supposed to have one of the best f/w separators but felt like i needed a 10 mic instead of the 20.

Thanks
Trey

Also, how often do ya'll drain your f/w and do u do it while the truck is off or running? I've been running the fleetguard stratapore lf16035 oil filters. Is this the best oil filter to run?

Thanks

ok, got the 1r-0750 cat for the 2 micron. It's the same size as the fg ff5320. I was looking at the specs on 1r-0749.

I would still like to run a 10 micron f/w filter. Anybody know of one that is around 8" tall?

I can't find anywhere local to buy baldwin filters. Where are ya'll buying the baldwind stock replacements?

Thanks
Trey

I use the OEM filter for a prefilter and water and a 2 mic after it. Craig
