Are my egts to high
Are my egts to high
Just wondering if my egts seem alittle high for a totally stock truck?
at idle around 400* zero boost
cruzing 600-800* 5-15lbs boost
punching it wot 1200-1300* 30lbs boost (egts spike and fall off a bit)
Also it seems like the air box is quite restrictive as the filter minder is always sucked all the way in.

no, the CR motors run hotter egt's due to an extra late injection event intended to keep the catalytic converter at the proper temp. dont worry, sounds about like mine did when stock. think that's warm? add some extra fuel!
Those temps look just like mine, Paul. And my filter minder was always sucked in also, until I replaced the filter with an Amsoil EAA189 drop-in. If you don't want to do the whole intake the Amsoil drop-in filter is a good alternative.

Probably because there is no load on the engine with the manual in neutral or the auto in park. No load will equal lower EGTs. Put the auto in drive and put the brake on and there's a load on the engine (torque converter) and higher EGTs.
works perfect with my Predator !!!! Awesome product there Quad , I am definately happy !!!
