Lowering 3500

My problem is trying to find a way to lower my truck by say 6 inches. I have an 2004 3500 4 dr shortbox. My only real task wihthte truck is towing my boat. The top of the cab measures 79 inches and of course it does not fit in undergoriuns parking lots who haev max clearance about 72 inches. I tried the usual internet sources but without luck. Any ideas for supplier kits or do I look at cutting the front coils and removing some of teh rear leaf shims? Thanks in advance.

nothing wrong with lowering a truck... you may think it is , but someone else will think lifting a truck is . and others will think keeping a truck at stock height is the only way to go, or will think stock height is

i don't think you can get 6" down out of it in the front, but in the rear that shouldn't be a problem. in the front, you can probably find drop spindles and lowering springs that can get you down maybe max 5"...

pickup a truckin' or sport truck mag and look through and see what the ad's have in them. see what they have for a dually truck, and the parts should be interchangebale

There's different strokes fer different folks.

Jamie has put that truck through some pretty amazing mods to be able to "lay frame" with a dually.

Maybe not everyone's cup-o-tea,... wouldn't be my choice, but then I don't like Jacked-Up trucks either.
I just realize that his truck is the way he wants it, and appreciate the engineering and effort.

BTW he was one of our first Truck Of the Month winners.......

Jamie's truck is pretty cool. He's done a lot of work to it inside and out. He used to post a lot but not anymore.

I was just kidding too. I don't care what people do to their trucks as long as it's a CTD.
