Most people here that run the MBRP muffler, including myself, will tell you they love it.

I have the aeroturbine 4040. It is almost as loud as my friend's straight piped 03. It just takes a bit of the raspiness away.

I put a magnaflow on my 93. It was quiet for about 3 days and then it started to get louder. I towed the skidsteer to the hunting club for a work day, 140 miles each way, you could here it getting louder as we went.

see i was wanting the aeroturbine..but i kindof think its still going to be too loud...the exhust is dumped under the bed at a 45...but i also think the MBRP/Magnaflow is going to be too quiet. So, maybe the Aeroturbine will be ok if it will take some of the rasp off...

The MBRP muffler is not quiet at all. It has a pretty gnarly tone to it. You'll like it....and if you don't, it's not like it's a huge monetary setback. The muffler is about $159 from DPP.

I have a 5" on my 04.5. I started out with it straight piped but the drone in the cab at 70mph was terrible. I purchased a muffler from the guy i purchased the exhaust off of on ebay. below is his link. Treated me really well. Quieted the exhaust down and took away the drone.

his number is 208 313 3668

love my aero

I have the 4040 aeroturbine on my 04.5 and I love it. It sounds like a beast idling, but not too loud . However, if I get on it, I can easily shake windows in the neighborhood. I believe that there is a 4040 with a resonator too, that might be a little quieter. I love my set up. The key is to put the 4040 as close to the turbo as possible I believe. At 70mph, there is a slight drone in the cab on the passenger side, but it doesn't bother me. I think there are some pics in my gallery

I added an aeroturbin 4040 to my banks monster exhaust. I like it alot. The aero slipped over the 4 and I used band clamps for a perfect seal.

Talking

I have a Aeroturbine 4040 I want to put on but I can't decide if i should take the Cat off at the same time. One very good shop, who does a lot of truck mods tried to tell me that it would void out the warranty on the new truck.
I said I didn't see how, it is not connected to the ECM or anything but the exhaust pipe. Anybody have any feed back or bs. from Dodge on this issue ?

Dump the exhaust out behind the rear tire or out the back of the truck. See the pic in my gallery. You dont want the exhaust under the truck anyway. I wouldnt put a muffler on unless I was getting hassled or had problems with drone. I have the 5" and yes it is loud when I really get on it. But thats what its supposed to do. I do not have any problems with drone and its fine inside the cab. Mine is a 12 valve cant imagine yours would be much louder.

I didnt like mine at first, but now I think it's awesome...Pretty mannerly below 2000-2200rpm....Those rpm's its like a mobile earthquake rolling through town That seems to be the sweet spot for loud thunderous growling diesel intimidation I've been stopped by a few folks who say it sounds great
