First of all let me say this I cracked the screen on my triple dog and can't see anything on it and didn't know how to get the thing off my truck. So I called my buddy up tonight and asked if he could park right next to me with his 05 with the triple dog and I would follow the same steps that he does with his triple dog so that I can uninstall off my truck. Nothing was happening because when his started uninstalling his, his truck would ding inside and mine wasn't doing anything so I just unplugged it and we tried it again and nothing. So now my truck won't start and im supposed to go out of town tommorow morning! Does anybody know if the triple dog master downloader can fix my truck or do I need to get my PCM reflashed?
Please help guys I don't what to do!

 

Can you use his to uninstall? Sure you already thought of that though. How good of a friend is he........borrow his rig

Yep take it out of his truck and plug it into yours it will say erasing triple dog then go return to stock.

 

I dont think that will work cuz the VIN # will not match I'd say that it would even begin to start prolly could read DTSs and thats it!!!

 

if you return his to stock, the vin lock will be off the BD and you could use his to remove yours, i believe. Once you return yours to stock he could put his back in.

Thats all saying his BD is within the same year range of your truck.

 

I tried to plug his into mine last night and it goes to the main menu and i puched yes for install download and selected cummins and then it said please turn key in the on position and I did that and nothing happens it just sits there and does nothing. I tried this probablly 3 times.
Do I have any other options?

 

Oh yea the reason I was taking it off of my truck is I was gonna puta smarty on tommorow. Does any body know if a smarty would fix this problem?

 

Smarty is going to require you are back to the stock setting.

 

So what do I do now?

 

Make sure it is COMPLETELY uninstalled from his truck & his is put back to factory then as long as his is the same truck as yours it SHOULD be able to uninstall it. It might not do it though because the program was loaded w/one unit & trying to be unloaded w/a different unit.HTH

 

Throw a match in the seat and walk away let the insurance company take it, J/K,. Call Bully Dog ASAP I think they have a customer service line I called the once before when I had my dog and they walked me threw a few things

 

You are right... to a certain extent. If you buy a Smarty, you can call Bob and have Marco write you a recovery file. The Smarty will overwrite what ever is on the ECM right now.
