How long is your experience before your injectors start working "off" from what they should.

I still have factory injectors and am running fairly BOMed motor, and it seems to sound like its missing once in a while, so I'm assuming its probably injectors that are not working perfect. Its either that or I have to look at the connectors to the Quadilla cable.

Its not running horrible just letting me know its going to need attention soon.

It has 98000 miles on them, many towing hot and hard.

Injector life varies tremendously. Theres no specific mileage to go by. I have friends who cracked them with as few as 20k miles and have a couple friends still going strong with over 200k on them.Seen stock and modded trucks have failures. Got a friend with an 03 that has ran crazy larry since it came out and absolutely abuses his truck, poor filtration(stock), but still running strong on the original injectors at 250k miles. Makes you scratch your head when another buddy has 2 micron filtration and babies his truck ends up with 2 leaky injectors at 40k miles. But a good rule of thumb is good filtration and not running at elevated rail pressures will always help in extending the life.

As far as your random miss, it could be several things, from electrical to mechanical. Is it bad enough you feel the need to start trouble shooting? Or just a random hic up? My truck has always had random things from rough idle to white haze to stalled out to strange readings on the gauges but it has never left me stranded. Its done this stuff stock and at all the levels of mods its been through. My injectors have been modded 2 different times and each time they tested good so i just chalk it all up to random quircky electrical glitches.

My problem is only bad enough right now to take apart the electrical connections and clean them, but doesn't warrant any more work than that.

You need to find cause, if one of your injectors
is starting to go bad, and you keep driving it,
could cost $$ in repairs. I live in upstate.

my $.02... i had my 03 for bout a year with a cracked injector and it still ran like a scaulded dog and still got 22 mpgs pulling an enclosed trailer on the interstate. it would just not start every now and then. randomly. once it shut off goin down the road. then several months later it needed to be sprayed to start.

With close to 300k on stock sticks I feel pretty lucky. When I used the factory fuel system I changed the fuel filter with every oil change....3000 miles!! For the last 10000 miles or so my AirDog system has been flawless....even with upgraded Fleetguard filters. I have however run a moderate tune so it's not been abused by any means. Knock on wood my injectors will hopefully last me another 200-300k miles. Or maybe I'm just wishful thinking .

161k on mine.. Have had a mix of pressure running on them for quite some time.. I have tried to turn the pressure off every now and then but miss the throttle response and turn it right back on.

AirDog with 2 micron and then another 2 micron in front of my CP3.

I had to replace 2 injectors at 40k miles then another 2 at 45k. Ran a quad box at 60hp setting for most of the time - not sure if that had anything to do with it. Thinking of getting a newer quad box so I can monitor rail pressures....

I think the filtering fuel has been the biggest help in saving injectors..
I had a TST-R49 from 2k-98k with modest settings.
@98k I added DTT tran, turbo and Smarty and have ran pressure since that point at fairly high settings.. Any modified fuel settings should have good fuel filtering to help as much as possible on the injector wear and particles from being pushed thru them.

Added 2 micron filter in front of my CP3 @2k and still do.
