Any 03-04's with flux 1 or 1.5's

I've had my flux 1.5 (60hp) injectors for almost a year now with no problems. The truck runs great and starts and idles good. but I do have a few interesting things happening since they were installed and was curious if anyone has had the same things happen to them. The truck black smokes noticeably more, the exhaust reeks like its really rich at idle, My mileage is down by maybe a 1-2 mpg, and my oil turns black a lot sooner than it did pre fluxs.

None of these things really worry me but these injectors weren't supposed to smoke more or hurt mileage and it seems they have done both. I am not complaining nor am I unhappy with these injectors i would just like to hear if anyone else has had the same experiences or insight.

thanks

I have been running F1 40hp injectors for about 4 years now with no such problems. I got about 1 mpg increase unloaded and right at 2 mpg while towing 5er. I have TST but only run it at 2x2 but it only kicks in fuel duration a 12 lbs of boost. The flux 1s sure woke up the bottom end for me as their increase is there all the time. The F1s were one of the best mods I made to my truck.

You need more air. An upgraded turbo is your best beat. With a stock turbo, Flux 1's is all you need.

I agree that a bigger turbo would address the additional smoke but it wouldn't effect any of the other issues. Am I wrong in thinking this?

I actually wanted flux 1's when I ordered but the F1 dealer told me to get the 1.5's because there is no difference in smoke or mileage between the 1's and 1.5's plus you get the extra 20 hp. This guy sells a lot of flux injectors so I had no reason to doubt him.

I guess no one else has had a similar experience?

I have been running 1.0's for a year and a half. I don't have the issues you describe. What you describe sounds like something a little timing adjustment would probably alleviate. I get a noticable difference in mileage and low rpm smoke control when I play with timing on my Smarty. I'm also running and HE351 but that didn't really change low rpm smoke control or mileage.

Thanks for the info. I have played with the settings on my smarty jr but haven't had much change.
