rebuild transmission or replace

I have 169,000 miles on my stock tranny. I'm in the process of making some performance mods but I don't think that the tranny will hold up. Just installed 6'' stacks and in the process of installing my gauges. Need info on what to do with my tranny? I'm planning on Comp Box and Injectors after I get the tranny issue resolved. Then I think I might have a problem with my HX35 turbo being to small, any suggestions!!!!!

More than likely you would be best off buying a built auto or having yours rebuilt, and then putting a good Torque Converter and Valve body in it. But if your transmission is in good shape, you might be fine with just a TC and VB for a while. Or if you just want something to help your transmission live longer until it decides to go out, then a built VB would be a good investment. You will likely have to have the VB cleaned when the tranny goes out, but just a Valve Body might hold what you are wanting to do for a long time.

When I had my DTT done, I could have gotten a complete transmission for the same price as the buildup plus shipping.. but the buildup is the same. The shop will put all the parts in that you agree you need and will guarantee it the same. They must bill to DTT for any extra labor incurred somehow.
DTT, Goerends are the two that come to mind with good quality and the proven ability to hold high torque.

tranny seems fine its shifts like the day i bought it but every now and then the TC will slip off the line or there is a big delay in the power.
