Guys I need Help 06 Dodge, BullyDog Tpup with version 2.2.7 won't start vin mis match

So was upgrading my unit to 2.2.7 from 2.2.6 and thought I would try the CL out for a change.. So I returned my truck to stock, upgraded the unit and installed it on my truck..

I started it and it ran for a couple seconds then died... did this a few times and now it won't start at all...

When I look at the DTC's I see a VIN Mismatch in there and it won't let me uninstall it... ??

I called BullyDog @ 6:24pm and they closed at 6...

I am screwed basically till monday unless I can figure out what to do..

I am going to go outside and try resetting the battery..

Does anyone know if reloading an older version of the firmware on the unit will even install? I have a backup copy of 2.2.6 here.

Any advice or input or home numbers for a BullyDog tech would be greatly appreciated.

The only DTC I get is P0513 which is a theft deterrant code wrong key, I assume this has something to do with the VIN Mismatch.

Oh and I was inspired to ask this here because of this thread that I googled upon.

Unfortunately, your pretty much hosed until you get a hold of BullyDog. Supposedly when this happens, they will e-mail you or direct you to a special web page where you can download a special recovery program, flash your downloader with it, and your back in business. You gotta get a hold of them though. If you have any local BullyDog dealers, they may have a copy of the recovery program and can hook you up. Try the dealer locator on BullyDog's web page for the one nearest to you. Being a weekend, they are probably closed as well though. Sorry bud...that sucks.

Man thanks for the reply!!!

I have just been sitting around the house.... washing a truck that I can't move.. lol

I contacted my dealer, who doens't have the recovery program, but put a call into their sales rep in hopes of getting an engineer to call me. . But no luck as of yet.. so I guess i will just be late to work on Monday untill I can get ahold of their support line and get my truck fixed.

I need to leave my truck alone that is what I have a race car for yeah know.. but these diesels interest me alot! It is funny to blow away stock camaros at the track in a big truck..

Thanks for your reply.. you are the first among 2 boards..

all fixed now

So basically I called them this am when they opened, a guy named Liberty helped me go through and input the correct VIN for the truck, then installed the tune again...

And all is well.. Couldn't have been simpler, however I do regret not having an afterhours support line to call for something so simple..

Thanks to all that provided me info and help!!! I appreciate it!
