Gauge Temps?

Just got done putting in my gauges from diesel manor (isspro - pyro, trans, boost) and went for a drive - now I have some questions? I'm running the quadzilla tow box also.
Around town trans temp is hanging around 200 - 210 (temp sender is in the hot line going to the cooler), boost is around 4-12 will spike at 34 on a WOT run, pyro (pre turbo) is between 500 - 900 driving the streets. Can run it up to 1500 on a wot run on the highway - 1200 can be reached easy passing.
Outside temp 95 today.
What are you guys seeing for temps?
Do my temps seem normal?
Wish I would have done the gauges a long time ago......
From what I saw today it is very easy to run a truck real hot with out knowing....
By the way the install was a sinch, much easier than I thought it would be.
It took me about 4 hours.
Thanks,
Tim

Ive always been told your tranny temp should be 100* above outside temperature, your boost sounds just like mine, and my 06 got hot very fast as well, i swiss cheesed my airbox and their was a very slight difference, and i just put an AFE drop in filter in and it droped them quite a bit. Hope that helps

Mine ran about the same too.My pyro was Ppost turbo at the time, but I could hit 1000* easy pulling a grade,& with a heavy load it would hit 1100*.My trans temp is hooked to the factory sender so I really don't kow if it's hotter in the line.I put pre/post turbo pyro's on it,& a 5" exh. ow & (see my sig.)it doesn't run that hot any more.

Where is the best place to put the pyro, pre or post turbo IF you had to pick one, and in that location, what is the highest temp you should ever let it see ?

Thanks guys!

Pre turbe is hotter & more responsive than post. Ideally, what you want to read is pre-turbo.

What do you guys read for water temp. After sitting all day at work (75F morning-105F afternoon), water temp showed 160F. Going home, never got above 172F. I am using a port on the head.

I'll be wiring in the trans temp tomorrow morning.

Oil Pressure: 20PSI at idle and ~75psi at 2500RPM. Manual calls for >10psi at idle and >30PSI at 2500 RPM.
Boost: WOT (short run) 30PSI
Fuel Pressure, idle 10psi; WOT ~6psi

Your trans temp is different than mine but Pyro and boost are the same. My trans temp gauge is in the pan and over 180 degrees is if i have been towing and put it in park to let it cool down, then it will heat up over 180. Usually around 150 no matter what im doing.

Boost is 6-12 on the highway depending on terrain and weather.

EGT 1200 is about regular for passing.

D. Wiggs, for your 06 the highest temp you want to see pre turbo is about 1500 degrees, 1450 is your main limit. you can spike 1500 safely but 1450 is ok to hit.

Thank you! Now I know when to take my foot out of it!

Tim,

How much ATF did you loose installing the sensor on the line to your cooler? I'm going to install my 3 guages Friday. If any one has pictures, it would be nice. I'm still looking through many search pages on this topic.

Thanks,

Lee
