fan controller

Does anybody make a fan controller for an 06 to turn the engine fan on at a lower temp than factory? I live in the deep south and in stop and go traffic the air wont stay cold because the fan isn't moving any air. Thanks

I would install electric fan to cool condenser down. Not that expensive and can be done fairly easy. This video shows how.

Thanks that's what I'd like to do but do they make a fan that will fit our trucks with out any mods? There is very little room in the front of my 06. It has an auto trans.

I guess I need to call them. I don't want to replace the factory fan, just have one turn on in traffic. Thanks for the link

There is also a way to turn your factory fan on with a switch. You tap into wire at the connector located under the radiator left side which goes to the fan clutch. You just need to ground one wire at the connector pin #one and the fan clutch will lock and go to max flow. It will take a few minutes for the clutch to lock, it doesnt happen immediately.

Do a Search on here. I installed an electric fan on my condenser. Some others have followed. It works wonders. All the part numbers are in the thread.

Thanks for all the help. I will have an electric fan or a switch to turn the factory one on before summer. I've hooked up my ac gauges during the summer to figure out why the ac warms up at stop lights and found out the high side runs way up. Put a big shop fan or mist water on it and the air cools back down. Thanks again
