Exhaust tip question
Exhaust tip question
Im gonna add an exhaust tip and I just wanna know if you guys had to cut the stock end off slightly or did you just slip it on and tighten?
I know, dumb question, but Im just curious.
And whats better, dual wall or single wall?

You need to cut it, or the original exhaust will stick out of your tip. The Dual wall is by far the way to go. MBRP dual rolled. TUFF TUFF TUFF! I have backed mine into several rocks and the lip on the tips doesn't bend.
With my 5" angled dual rolled tip, when I slid it over my exhaust, you could see the original exhaust tip if you stepped back a little ways. Fiftygrit, you must not have the MBRP because it is a dual wall all the way through. Other dual walls are only dual toward the end of the tip, so your original exhaust slides in between the two walls. If you don't cut it, your tip will stick out and look funny. You don't want it sticking out passed your tire do you? That is the only way you wouldn't be able to see the original exhaust tip WITH the MBRP.
