Exhaust 4" 04.5
A 4" downpipe to a 3" cat and muffler delete back to a 4". I know in plumbing
you always want to drain smaller pipes into larger not the reverse. Will it matter with that set up? The muffler shops around here dont have the machines to bend 4". Only $80.00 for him to

This is why i,m a carpentry contractor/builder. Ok... i want to remove the cat and the muffler and the muffler shop says he can do it but he has to use 3" pipe. So will there be any issues going from a 4" down pipe to a 3" cat delete straight past the exiting muffler back to 4" out of the back of the truck?

There is a reason the aftermarket uses 4" pipe minimum! I dont know about where live but it sounds like its time for a little road trip to find a shop that CAN use a 4" mandrel bent pipe the whole way!

This sounds odd to me. Your 04.5 should have 4" exhaust, cat, and muffler from the turbo back. Why would your shop guy need to use 3" pipe to replace the Cat/muffler? When I did a muffler delete I just used a piece of 4" stainless in its place. I would go to a different shop.

Muffler shops machine will not bend 4" pipe. I am with the road trip idea or pay a little more and order them. Well ... gotta go to work.
Thanks for the responses gentleman !
