Re:electric fuel pressure guage
I ran an autometer phantom electric gauge in my 02 and didnt like it
I went through three sending units
the last one went after 3 hours of driving
very expensive to start with as well
switched to isspro mechanical and all is well.
many people are affraid of mechanicals because of the possibility of a leak. If you take your time installing and make sure all connections are in good shape (no dings) and get them tight, the possibility of a leak is minimal
just my opinion of course

Not all electrics are bad. My Dakota digital gauge has worked great. Maybe its the sender they use, or maybe its the way I hooked it up.

I'll second Stakeman's comments here. We brought in a Dakota digital for testing, and when we hooked it up, we hooked it with the specific intent to kill the sending unit. Normally, we'd been to able to kill any electric within 2 weeks of hooking directly to the injection pump. In this configuration, the Dakota sender (its actually a VDO sender) lasted for 3 months, which is about what we would expect from a non-snubbed, poorly rigged mechanical. Having said that, we do still like the full mechanicals around here for their proven track record.

I don't know about other but part of the reason I buy many things is a proven track record. I have a mechanical guage in my truck. Good luck with your decision.
