Do all exhaust brakes replace elbow?

I could have sworn I was reading a magazine either 2 weeks ago or 2 years ago (no concept of time) that had an exhaust brake that was mounted right next to the tranny. Am I sniffin' glue on this one?

Thanx.

Pac Brake offers a remote mounted system. Jacobs, pac brake and BD sell a system that does replace the elbow though.

I read on here the other day that a guy had his ex brake mounted between his bottom and top turbo.

Any negatives on one mounted down below compared to at the elbow?

I think US Gear are the ones that mount inline by the tranny. I really dig my PacBrake it is awesome. Changing it at the elbow was no big deal at all. In fact the whole system (PRXB) was pretty easy to install.

Not only US Gear, but PacBrake and BD as well. Probably others too.

I had a inline one down by the tranny and it was always getting full of mud. I went back to the one that replaces the elbow
