Difference between 37x12.5 and 37x13.5

Hey all, I'm still debating on what kind of tires to get. I see a lot more options with 37x12.5, and was wondering if that would be a better route than the 37x13.5 that everyone is recommending. The 13.5 I see the Toyo m/t which seem nice and seem like they would fit what I want. Then I also see Cooper STT's which are a 37x12.5 for like 150 bucks cheaper total. I'm just trying to see what's a cheap route to good tire that will last me and provide everything I am looking for. Thank you for all of the help

Chris

Put the tires side by side. You may find the Toyos are a true 37, while the Coopers are not (and I say maybe because my only in person view of this was when I was shopping for 35s, Toyos were a true 35, the Coopers were not). Tire size varies, and even though a company says they make a 35 or 37, when you measure you find they are all different.

You'll likely get better fuel economy with the skinnier tire.

One inch? LOL.

Seriously...

The Cooper is 36.9 inches tall verses Toyo's 37.0. Not much difference to huff and puff about.

The Cooper is also far less heavy...and lasts almost as long.

If you have an Auto w/ 3.73's...I would stick to 35's and then go shop Procomp XMT's...they are a far better tire than both the SST's or Toyo's.

I have had all three under my buddies truck in the last year.

I might just be ordering a set of Yokohoma Geolanders. They seem to have a best price at 1050 to my door, and seem like they will get the kind of mileage I am looking for

I am having a very tough time finding a tire that will fit my criteria. I am looking for a tire that will last me 40-50k miles, and be in the $1,100 dollar range. I just can't make up my mind. I'm looking at the Yokohoma Geolanders, the Toyo MT's (bit more than 1,100 more like 1250), also the Cooper STT for like $1,120. Just can't make up my mind
