Nitto Mud Grapplers??? Or good wearing 37x13.50s???

Has Anyone tried the Nitto Mud Grapplers?
I'm looking to do a 6inch Lift and some 37-13.50s.. But I want a tire that will hold up reasonably well.. I may be asking alot but would like to find a good
off road tire that will go 30,000 to 45,000 miles.. Anyother sugestions on this type tire would be helpful Ride quality, wear, how they pull off road?

I.S. From what I've read the Nittos or Toyo equivalents last 20 to 30k miles. I like Cooper STT, I have the S/T. Mine are wearing great. They are only a D load range but they are 3 ply sidewalls and have a higher than stock weight rating....I wouldn't tow heavy with them but they look great. Check out the pix on the website. Key is to mount on the widest rim possible. The tire has a 13.1 section measured on a 8.5 rim.... with a 10 inch tread. On a 10 inch rim you'd probably be a 13.5 section witn an 11. inch tread. ks

Sweeny, I also have the Cooper S/T's in a 35x12.50/17 though. I did get these by choice, I lucked up and had a set laying around that was brand new in our shop someone never picked up that bought them. I only have 1,500 miles on them now but they seem to be a good tire, a little road noise but probably much less than the Nitto mud grapplers. I'm not going to make a recomendation on them as of now but just letting you know what I think so far.

My buddy is running those. He's got 15K miles on them and they are on the wear bars. Not good for a tire that expensive. He's also got a 6" lift and he had to trim his fenders to help the tire rub. He can only turn the wheel about 1.5-2 turns before the tire hits the fender and rubs. He's running the 37x13.50x17's on a 10" wide rim.

I have 25k on the toyo's and they are not even half worn yet so they deffinatly go more than 30k. the guy that I bought them from said to expect 50-60k out of them.

I personally think the toyo's are the tire to have right now if you can afford them. These are the best tires I have ever had on a truck. Look great, very quite IMO, wear great. the downside is the they were not cheap.

Israel, I got 35k miles of heavy towing on mine and they are about 11/32 on average. They are wearing great. I've driven fast 190km/h / 118mph. Done a few videos of burnouts, Towed 38k combined. What more could you ask. The key is to rotate every 5 or 6k miles. and check balance with everyrotation. I paid about $240 each installed, balanced and free rotations but I've heard you can get them for $150 to $180 out the door. The 37's are $350 here. But I've heard of people getting them for $250. I went for the free rotations because they make the tire last and I don't mind paying for good service and support at my local garage. The guy even loaned me his 97 5speed Cummins to do my runnin around....Can't beat that. ks

yeah I guess it is about mentality. you can buy the cheaper tires an just buy two sets or buy the more expensive tires and they last longer.

alsmost all the TSL tires I have had (swapers, radial swampers, tsl-sx, boggers, thornbirds) were worn out or alsmost worn out by 25-30k. they were all in the 180-250 a tire range. these toyo's were almost $400 a tire but will last twice as long.

they ride much nicer in that time period as well.

now the parnelli jones are nice but they are not cheap either.
