How much of a lift do I need for Nitto Trail Grappler 37x13.50x22???

I Have a 2500 4x4 laramie 2005. It sits a little bit higher then most trucks I see and im putting a leveling kit on it and the 285x50x22 terra grapplers no where near fill the wheel well. Just wondering what I would need.. Thanks

I run 35x12.50x17 on no lift....Iwould think 2-3 inches will clear, 5-6 will clear well!

Im actually tossing around ideas right now.. I have 22s on the truck. They are nice but the price for tires is double. I can get a set of xd 20" weels with tires for 1800 and the tires alone for the 22s will cost me 1500.. LOL. Im looking at pictures right now of different setups. 22s may look a little funny with 37s..

Lift....

37 inch tires look good with a 6 inch lift. 37s on a 4inch will work but look lame.

I was looking at the skyjacker 6 inch lift but I havent read very good things about it. I would like to keep the feel of the ride I have now. I dont want it floating around.. I might just do the KMC XD SPY rims in 20 inch with a 295/65/20 tire. that should only require a leveling kit. Those measure 35.49 tall or something..

Ok I just saw a picture of a black dodge 2500 with 20" XD SPY rims and 35s.. After I change my underwear im pricing them out! The Trail grapppler 35s will clear a 4x4 with a level kit right?

Keep in mind not all lifts will allow larger tires to fit just because the truck is lifted. You can still get some rubbing. Look into an axle forward lift so you can push your axle away from the back of the front fender wells.

Look at my gallery, 4.5in Revtek Axel forward lift, with 35in Toyo M/T's on XD Addicts

It seems no one has a problem fitting 35s onto their truck with a leveling kit. I dont really feel like doing all of that stuff at the moment. Your truck looks awesome. I wish I had the cash... I NEED tires right now so this has to be done, I am also getting my bike ready and throwing parts at that so my moneys draining. Just a full exhaust alone is about 1K not to mention a dyno remap is 350 plus 300 for a power commander. What back spacing are your wheels? I like how they are tucked under. I also think I might be putting fender flares on it aswell.

Tire width, wheel width, and wheel backspace will play an important role in what fits and what hits.

You con run most 35's with no lift but that is when using the stock 8" wide wheels with the 6.25" backspace. Adding a leveling kit usually makes it worse since it moves the axle back a little in the wheelwell.

To run the 37x13.5's I would suggest a 6" lift that moves the axle forward a bit like the kits from Pure Performance. They use adjustable control arms and have progressive coils for a good ride.

I would look for a 9" wide wheel with a backspace around 5" to help with both body clearance and control arm clearance.
