Will I need fender flares for 37X13.50's?

Getting a 6" lift installed on a '06 2500 and will be running 37X13.50's Toyo MT's on a 17X9 Pro Comp Series 7089 wheel. I don't know the offset or backspacing on the wheels but was told by the shop doing the install that I won't have any rubbing issues. For those of you running a similar set up, are you running fender flares or not? Thanks for any input.

Check your state laws. If the law don't care about your tires sticking out, you won't need flares. But if you live in a state like mine, flares are mandatory. If the law doesn't require them, let 'em stick out, because they probably will. Nothing wrong with the flares though, I get plenty of compliments on mine.
They are just expensive pieces of plastic, that's all.

No doubt. If I didn't have to have them, I wouldn't.

if your tires stick out much past your fender wells and you go off roading or spend time on gravel roads, fender flares will save your paint. if your truck only sees nicely paved roads, it will only save you from slinging water from every puddle all over the side of your truck.

It helps with the water slinging, but rocks still shoot all over the place with flares.

Thanks for the replies. Think I am going to stick to no fender flares.

I ran no flares for 100 miles and it trashed my paint job, i had chips everywhere, put the flares on and had everything repainted..

Personally i think the tires sticking way out is kinda tacky, but have alot of friends that love it..

I have a 6" lift with 37"x 13.50 and they rub. You might need to remove the front vallence, the black plastic under your bumper. Also I suggest the flares, mine are 2 1/2" wide and it helps.

i think you will need the flares, i run them with my 17x9 rims and 315's , they stick out about 1.5" past the fenders, and the flares i have just cover them with a little room to spare, so i could go a bit wider tire, without the po po giving me problems.
