Defueling,.... need help!!

Ok, here is the Reader's Digest version. Last summer I was at 569hp. Since then I added the lvl 2 CP3, the dual feed, upgraded my injectors and I've lost 100hp!!!!!!!!!!!!! My truck is in the shop and they can see it is defueling like crazy at high rpm. Pls ck my sig for mods. What the heck is causing this,... what have I missed. This truck with my mods should be at least a couple hundred hp higher than what we're seeing and I think the defueling is the problem.

Pls,... need help on what I can do/try to resolve this asap. The truck is in the shop and needing your help.

Tks.

Same Dyno? Load dynos can be overloaded to the point of killing HP. Have you run it in inertial mode yet?

What is the wheel speed @ your HP reading in MPH?

If that checks out then lets move to the fuel delivery system independent of the ECM defueling.

What is your rail pressure readings? Idle, part throttle and WOT?

Is the rail capped?

Now to air:

What is the overall boost numbers in the manifold? What is the primary boost to the secondary turbo?

Now to electronics:

Can you remove the BD speed limiter?

TST harness bad? Not common but does happen

Whats a co-pilot?

Do you have a Downloader?

By your sig, there is a ton of stuff on that truck. It may take a while to find it. Im certain we can though.

Off topic: Don, is capping the rail going to be hard on the injectors? I have a cap, but just haven't installed it yet.

On topic: Pat, did you try running with just the TST, or just the Smarty? Maybe everything stacked together is just not working the way it did with your old setup. Lmills made his best numbers with just the Smarty and a SP Diesel pressure box.

I tried stacks to begin with and as you say,... didn't work. Actually was worse. I did the stand alone with the SMARTY, TST, and PPE HOT and same problem of severe defueling. I have directed the shop to Don M's suggestions above so they may be back with you Don,.. hope you can check back to see what he has to say.

No it hasn't been run in inertial mode. I suspect it may be tight set too but he just had this thing installed last week by Mustang and he seems to stand
on their installation as being right on.

Don, I'm not there and most of this I have no way of knowing. If you could give him a call I would appreciate it at 636-451-4144. I'll tell him you may call if you have a chance. Tks

I spoke to John today about the truck. He was going to call Keith and see if he could help him.

Any updates or progress?

A bad sensor? Maybe buy a new MAP, IAT's, Rail....etc.

Could be doing what it is supposed to be doing...just getting a wrong reading.

Have you tried taking the dual feed line off yet and trying it again? Feeding fuel at two different angles creates an awful lot of turbulence in the rail at high RPM when these modded Cp3's are really cramming in the fuel. Just thinking out loud.

I'm here if you want to give me a call Pat.

No,... we never got to removing the dual feed. Ran out of time. That is on the top of my to do list however. Got a dealer visit coming up so I'll wait till that is over and then do it and see what difference it makes.
