I sold my short shift because of the notchy feel it created going from gear to gear.I ran it for about a year with the ofe.I have since went to a a 3600dd and it is kinda notchy,at least in comparison to the ofe.I can't imagine what having the short shift and a dd would be like together.

I'm running flux 2's and a 62/71/13ss and my ofe didn't like it!I don't know what size your Turbonetics is but you might should have went with a DD or at least the fe. I'm not knocking the ofe in any way,it was a great clutch till I out grew it.Just something to ponder

I'm happy with the OFE and I'm sure it will be fine for the 500 hp or so I have.

Most people would never recommend the FE to anyone, it's a grabby beast I've heard.

thanks guys, i was wondering about the ofe holding up but i think it would be ok i guess. i didnt really want a dd just because of the slow shifting and the noise, also heard its hard on syncros too but i dont know how true that is. btw what hp do you think i am running the turbo is comparable to a 62/12.

You should be in the same boat as me, knocking on 500+hp door. But that depends on that turbo you have. You look like you have the mods to get there, I just don't know how hot it will get for you.

Just so you know agr, when I first put my OFE in it felt like it wasn't releasing all the way, it was hard to get into gear at first. I called SB and talked to a guy (not Peter) who told me it will get better over time and he was right, feels pretty much like stock now.

Mine always shifted great, but when I take off the truck will shudder every time, if I try to give it a little pedal it will grab and shoot forward. But I've gotten over that, its just the nature of the truck for me.
