Or you could simply use the SEARCH function and find the answer for yourself.......unless of course you think adopting a crappy attitude and throwing sarcasm at forum members will make them want to help you all the more

tried a search and only thing i can find is arguements over south bend vs. valair. i know valair is aparently a swear word on here,so ill omit them from my question but am wondering which south bend to go with according to the mods in my sig.

I don't know if an ofe would hold it. A Fe would probably hold it. I was just bite the bullet, do it right and put at least a 3250 dual disk in from South Bend. I love mine. Tac

I agree with Tacsavage. No the dual disks arent hard to shift. Although I dont have a dual in my 3rd gen I had one in my 2nd gen, I also had upgraded hydraulics and honestly i thought it was easier to shift ( peddle not as stiff) as stock IMPO.

Mine isn't hard to shift and I don't even have the upgraded hydraulics. It is a little slower than than a single disc and you do have some extra noise even with a spring hub.

I put in the Con OFE in my truck. I bought it from Lary great guy by the way we had a good long talk on the phone great service and price. Mine was grabby for the first 1000 miles or so now it's great I don't have the mods you do but if the OFE will handle your power I'd say buy it from Lary.

If you want a south bend clutch call them, tell them what you have, what you plan to do and how you use it, and they can tell you which clutch you need, no one knows parts better than the people who make them. They told me to buy a 3250 20k + later and still like it.

You should be fine with the OFE, mine holds alot for what it has been through, and a great price.
If I would've been on the forums this weekend i would have answered your question. There is also alot more info on SBC than you cared to look for. But no worries, you made the right choice essentially.

My NV5600 SBC 3250 DD isnt hard to shift but it take a long time to grab gears. Its holds great but sux if I have to accelerate and shift. It takes a 1.5 - 2.0 seconds to shift. It hold's up great to abuse, I was getting 1.88 60ft at the track week week in the heat. 4x4 2nd gear 15 psi and 3,000 rpm all night long.
