Bully Dog Torque Management Program...anyone using it?

So I exchanged my Power Pup for a Triple Dog earlier today and I've been playing with the Triple Dog. Came across the "TQM" section of the programmer where you have to call and get a password to access it.

Has anyone done this? What is it? How does it work?

By the way....the Triple Dog RULES!! SOOOO much better than the Pup...by far

Also, is the "Low End Option" hard on the tranny? I thought I read somewhere that it was...

Before you start playing with even the crazy larry program, you need atleast a torque converter and valvebody. Even with that, you can't run the torque mgt delete option without billet shafts.. Trust me, I broke my output the first time I tried it..

Both the Low End Option and Disable Torque Management are hard on an auto tc/transmission. Together they would probably spell early grave for stock transmission. The Disable Torque Management mainly stops the ECM from defueling during shifts, so the shifts are at full power and torque. The Low End Option primarily does a lot of low rpm fueling to improve throttle response from stop or low speed and I definitely would use it. Disabling the Torque Management is probably not a good idea on stock tc/transimission. The code to enable the Torque Management is 4 characters of the Bully Dog Triple Dog Serial number. The code is made up of the 13th, 11th, 9th and 7th character of the serial number in that order. Or at least it was on mine and many others I have used.

My 60' time is where the TM delete really made a difference. My 60' dropped from the normal 2.0 to a 1.78.

Yes you are correct, my simple explanation did not imply from idle, stop or low rpm was included in what is disabled in Torque Management Disable. Of course that is the hardest on tc/transmission also.

I think the newest versions from Bullydog have the option for torque management delete, no code needed. RedRacer what version do you have?

I haven't played much with torque management....since of my stock flex plate and all. I did take torque management off once and I got was the tires to spin easier down low. Other than that, I didn't notice anything different around town. Track would have been a different story though

Without tranny upgrades, this option has got to do some damage! The torque is INSANE!! It all comes right away when you hit the go pedal!. Even on the "stock" setting, it's got crazy torque all over the rpm range. It's a lot of fun, but kinda scary. You really have to feather the pedal to not accelerate like you're on the drag strip.
