Before the Jr. I bought a BD boost fooler with the hopes of less egts being the main bennefit. It did not work at all, and when talking to several people at BD I was told that it was not meant for that application and would not work. I then took it back and got a quadzilla and it worked wonders. Same product, but the QZ worked. It took a good 200 degrees off my exhaust temps, and just made the truck more responsive. A good and cheap investment in my book.

I just got the QZ fooler. I can say it works... But, they make them for trucks with programers. If you like using your PMT for you gauges... I would not recommend. The PMT only shows 23#'s now, even though the boost is much higher. I was seeing 28#'s.

So my question is to these companies that make products for a specific applications (programers), why don't they design them so you can still use the most important features (gauges)?

Boost Foolers

I thought most of the aftermarket electronic boxes had boost foolers build into them otherwise how could you get then additional benefits of the box.

I believe it helps with plug in modules, except quad's boxes have a built in boost fooler.Smarty is one of a few (or only one) that changes the defuel setting (boost fooling)via the new program.

I would probably see #'s like that but with the programmer... I guess its just not possible to see the real boost #'s. So, even with a screne I spent a pretty panny on, I still need to install a boost gauge?

Maybe there will be a boost fooler setting on the new PMT download. Thats what I'm hoping for.

My understanding is most modules will boost fool, but because programmers do not mess with the MAP sensor they do not boost. I can see Smarty figuring a way to get by that though.
Scottabrad where does your wire connect to read boost?

Based on that alone , jr does not allow higher boost levels.

I ran the fooler on a stock truck. It didnt make a difference. It is really useful when running a programmer so that it wont defuel for overboost codes.
