Boost bolt hypothesis?

Before I put my Autometer gauges, I rigged up an Isspro boost gauge since I had one laying around and a boost bolt. I've heard issues of the boost gauge fluttering, but I thought I would try it anyway. To my surprise, no fluttering at all, until I put in the Autometers. I read a thread on here after searching for my answer that said Isspros don't have this issue. Does any one know the reason behind the fluttering in the Autometers but not the Isspros? Do Isspros have a built in snubber? I am curious on how things work so this is bugging me.

Either way, the next rainy day, I'll drill and tap the manifold and solve the problem. Until then, I'll be stuck in a combine or grain truck.

The Autometers need a inline snubber. Isspro may have an internal snubber, or dampener. I know Westach does.

I had some free time yesterday, so I decided I was going to change my oil and tap my intake manifold. Plans changed when I took a closer look and noticed I had a rotor shot so that took precedent on tapping the intake manifold. By shot I mean completely done for.

I forgot to ask this question in my original post, but why does the boost bolt need a snubber in CR's but not the original 24 V's (VP44) trucks?

This is an old posting, but mentions tapping the intake manifold for mounting a boost gauge. So let me ask, were on a 2007 5.9 do I connect a boost gauge? Do I tap the manifold or is there a fitting hiding from me?
Thanks in advance..

A boost bolt (Geno's Garage) is really the easiest choice. Other than that it is easier and more convenient to drill/tap the intake horn.

Thanks, I'll checkout Geno's but will probably just tap the horn.

Thanks
