Piers boost bolt

Trying to install my Di-pricol boost gauge using a Piers boost bolt and have run into a small problem. My boost gauge came with a 1/8 MPT male fitting and the Piers boost bolt I think accepts a 1/8 FPT male fitting. Is there a single adapter that will work or what assembly of fittings is needed. Hopefully I have described the situation correctly as my knowledge of pipe fittings is limited. Thanks.

Re:Piers boost bolt

I had to buy an adapter at my local NAPA. I think the Piers bolt took a 3/16" NPT, while the boost kit was 1/8 NPT (mine is an ISSPRO, but they should be the same I think). I took the Piers bolt with me, along with the boost fitting that would connect to it, and the guy found the fitting right away. I had tried Home Depot, then Ace hardware, then O'Reilly, but finally found it at the NAPA store. HTH.

Thanks for that excellent tip. Have a close NAPA store. Will also take my fittings there and have them set me up with that adapter you mentioned.

Re:Piers boost bolt

Glad I was able to help. That extra running around trip is part of what took me all day when I installed my guages. I thought I had gotten everything I needed the day before, but somehow missed that one, and all the different places I had to go to cost me 2 1/2 hours of errand. Hope I saved you that same.

Try a plumbing store. Since those are Pipe threads, a plmubing store will most certaintly have them. That's where I've gotten all of my fittings and adapters.
