I got home a little late to nite(oldest Baseball game) and ther it was a box from PDR ;D 8)<br><br>I have check it out is all for now the thing has a huge intake housing. <br><br>It will go on tomorrow night. It's on waiting for me to take her home or maybe I'll drive around alittle more tonite 8) 8) 8)<br><br>Piers has made this a truely bolt on turbo, all I had to do is rotate the intake housing about 5 deg. No messing with the oil return or the exhaust.<br><br>It has the 17 housing and bolts right up to the same down pipe the HX-40 did. ;D ;D ;D<br><br>I got to go out and see how she works now, but as far as putting it on it was a breeze.

It is on and the only words that come to mind is WOOOOOOW....<br><br>Piers has got another WINNER here!!!!! <br><br>It is truly a bolt on like his HX-40 no mods where need for the oil return or the exhaust matched up perfectly. The intake side had to be rotated down about 5 deg, although the elbow could have been turned in the hose.<br><br>Now for the good stuff....<br><br>It starts making boost at 1600 RPMs and once it comes on hang-on!!!! The boost takes off like a rocket(I'm going to suggest to Piers to call it the HX-55 Rocket) I am still in the break in phase right now but once tonite it hit 50 PSI at only 3/4 throttle.<br><br>EGTs cruising down the freeway(70MPH) are maybe 25 deg higher than the PDR HX-40 was this morning going to work. The boost cruising a freeway speeds is right at the same level as the PDR HX-40.<br><br>The EGTs seem to rise faster then stop and drop as the boost get higher. On the on ramp heading home tonite at only 3/4 throttle I entered the freeway at 3/4 throttle and only 1200 deg and 5 MPH faster than normal. At 3/4 throttle my seat of the pants meter tell me that there is more now than before at full throttle. <br><br>On the down side...<br><br>My top end smoke is gone the lazer cut delivery valve should solve this.<br><br>The rear tires are going to hate this turbo <br><br>Thank goodness for Piers giving us junkies the products that keep us in our evering ending quest for for more and more HP.<br><br>THANK YOU PIERS for another great product!!!!!

Drawson, we should have some kind of test between us as I will have my Twins with an 18.5 on the 35 and Lazer DV's and a Custom Plate with 370's, almost the same as you, I have 3.54's with 265 tires and the truck weight's 6300. My guess is the 50/55 is not going to be far from my Twins in H.P and EGT control, think about it. Chipsen's truck seemed close to mine now both in EGT's and H.P.<br><br>Jim<br><br>

Jim sounds like a plan. There is one other thing, we do have different trans. Where are you HP wise right now before the twins? I have Dyno'd from 460-503 with the PRD HX-40.<br><br>

 

and i just noticed, the uspsa and nra. i am a life member in both. have to write them [uspsa] and get moved down in class, i don't think i can handle master anymore. and a dodge diesel junkie also. just boys with there toys mike

 

Mike you going to shoot nationals in Bend this year? I wish I could call USPSA and get moved to GM, I can't seem to shoot a classifier over 93% as of late.

 

i may shoot the open, i work on sandy strayers shop stuff all the time. it sounded like a heck of a match last year. i haven't shot regular in 6 years. man what a thread high jack.
