Banks, TS, TST, Edge, BullyDog or what?
Banks, TS, TST, Edge, BullyDog or what?
So Whats gonna work on my 04.5 600. It seems with all I have seen and read that the TST is the only thing out right now for the 600. Any others? And while I'm at it, whats going to give the the best MPG increase if any? I called Edge and they said the 04 EZ wont work on the 04.5 so I figure that is the same for the Banks, TS, and BullyDog. Only TST SAYS (on the website) that it will cover a 04.5 600 as well. MPG is more interest to me then HP & TQ. Also everything else is stock so I need a box that will not kill anything, something mild or if adjustable, turned down (TST, BANKS) HELP!! Im so lost.
Thanks in advance.

From: Drive till ya hit a Polar Bear, then go back 50 miles
On the 600, we've seen mileage increases of 1 - 1.5 mpg on the lower power level settings, or on the higher settings while driving with a very soft foot. Be forewarned though: If you turn up the torque enhancement, and get a heavier foot, your in-town mileage is going to suffer, as the TST box really throws fuel to the truck.

Take a look at Doug's fueling report. The Van Aaken (VA) boxes work on the 600. There's a pressure only box with mild enhancment and a duration box (without timing) that will give mild to wild so they can be dialed down for those, like yourself, without aftermarket components (turbo, injectors,etc.). Later on, when you add those things, just dial it up for more uumph.
The other nice thing about the VA boxes (at least the pressure box) is that they install and uninstall in minutes (maybe seconds) pretty much without a trace that they've been there. That's a nice feature when considering preservation of your factory warranty. I don't know anything about effects on mileage from these boxes. My experience has been that when it's more fun to stick your foot in it, you're more likely to do it.
Don't do anything, though, without adding gauges.
