Which Banks,Bullydog or Edge?

Hey guys Im new to the DTR and the diesel world. The first thing that I want to mod on my 06 crewcab 2500 HD 4x4 is a Tuner. Im not sure if I should go with Banks six-gun with PowerPDA. J Parker @ Banks told me that Banks is going to release a 250 or Hp downloader here in the coming year but I would have to sign a waver which is not a prob. Then there's Bully dog with the the Triple Dog Downloader, I know they have the Crazy Lary tune. Last but not least is Edge with A2-Juice Attitude. I've been told by a few guys that I should buy the Edge and stack it with Bullydog. WHat do all think I should do. Thank you for your time.

I have the Quadzilla Commander & the Race Module & couldn't be happier. They have excellent customer service to stand behind their products as well.

I run a A2/hot juice. It has never failed me. I have never tried the other boxes however, if all do chime in you will hear gret reviews of the tst/buly dog stack, the smarty, the smarty tst stack the quadzilla stacked of course, the predator and the list goes on van aken etc etc etc..............In the near future I plan to stack the hot juice with a ez or mp8 for a lil pressure. I am not sure what the 06 model year does on pressure. The only good advice i can give you is.........................be careful, it is not a cheap motor and plenty can go wrong. (please dont start asking about warranty, the thread wil then go on forever) lol

I have another motor setting tight waiting for big mods. Im a machinist from the hotrod world. As of now Im working on the cylinder head. I plan on machining off the intake and fabing up a sheetmetal intake + porting the head. As for warranty I can care less. Although I did have to use it once. My truck only has 3600 miles on it right now and at 3200 I had to have a new cam installed aswell as a new pump gear. what can I say.

I would pick edge again also. I have it and would get it again. Unless you plan on racing on the drag circuit or sled pulling, you dont need anything more

Here is the problem you are going to run into now. Everyone on here has their favorite and their opinions of the tuners they have or have had. The best thing is to do lots of research on your 3 choices and then choose based on what you want out of one. I personally have the bully dog triple dog. I love it. I do not want the look of having the gauges etc in my truck. Also if I want to change settings I can just plug it in and change my setting in 3 secs. I don't have any gauges and I don't need them. Their have been a few guys on here who have had problems with the edge. A friend of mine went to get one for his powerstroke and the shop where he went to get it had sent back all of their new edge w/ attitudes because they had 10 returned do to them causing problems with the trucks. So they decided not to sell them until the problems were fixed. I used the Superchips Flashpaq for about 2 weeks and I didn't like it because it just had 2 settings. Plus if you want to change to a different setting it takes the same amount of time as installing the programmer to your truck. (15 minutes on mine) I haven't had any trouble with my BDTD at all. I've had it for almost a month now and it is doing exactly what I wanted out of it. Increased MPG a little and I have power when I want it. I leave mine on performance unless I am towing then I just turn it down to tow. Sorry for the long reply. This is my 2 cents.

I run the edge hot juice, and diablosport predator. really nice combination, Im quite sure with small injectors that it will put me in the mid 500's and mid to low 12's. I am going to experiment with the dr performance predator too, but after I put in a better cp3
