Another tranny question????
Another tranny question????
Ok so I am working on a budget here and wa wondering If I would be doing my self any favors by installing a VB? I plan on going with a TC, FP, and input but all of it at once is a good chunk of change.
Will the VB by its self benifit me untill I can get the rest?

a valve body raises the line pressure, which helps to eliminate slippage, (once it happens, slip, it tends to slip easier next time). Torque converter is about efficiency of power to wheels.
Somebody correct me if I'm off here.

How will he save money doing it all at once? If he does the valve body now and saves the transmission all that he is out is fluid when he does the converter. If he waits and smokes the tranny the hard parts he may need will far out weigh the cost of fluid. If you intend on doing any performance mods, do the valve body first. There is no such thing as easy after a performance mod.

I think it is a good move to put in a VB even if you wait on the rest of the improvements. It is a lot cheaper to just do the VB. It is much easier to do and will help with the shifting and internal wear.

What do you guys think? 94k miles, tranny does not feel that strong. Should I have it rebuilt with parts from Goerend, suncoast, etc. or buy a tranny from them? What do you think of just doing the VB and TC. If I turn the quad on 100 it will not spin the tires, i assume that the tranny is wasting the power. Just trying to figure out what to do fix up or trade.
