Another rail pressure question
Another rail pressure question
I've been watching my rail pressure since I have a gauge now and noticed I only get about 16000 psi under 2000 RPM. I only get 22-23 k at redline. I'm fine with 23k but I want that pressure before 3000 RPM. At idle and cruise rail pressure are normal, just not at WOT below 3000 RPM. Would messing with the rail pressure settings on the Smarty help? I only run the Smarty on level 5.
I'm gonna piggy back on my post. I was finally about to rig up my fuel pressure gauge. I am seeing 8-8.5 psi at idle and around 2 at WOT. Cruising is around 4-5 psi. Fuel filter was changed about 1000 miles ago. Do these numbers seem right or should I be worried? I would search for the answer, but the search function isn't working at the moment for me.

I've been watching mine for about a week now and on stock I am running about 5K at idle, 7-8K on cruise, 10-12K on hills. Once I put the Edge on Tow my rail pressure went to 7-8K at idle, 14-16K on cruise, 20K on up pulling hils.
Without hard data to back it up, I've been observing much lower cruising rail pressure in cold weather than warm, I believe the ECM is responsible for that, so its something to keep in mind.
