Yesterday I got around to installing my Dynomite Diesel 90hp injectors.

My thoughts so far with about 20 or 30 miles on them is that they are no less than GREAT!!
So far the truck smokes less has about the same amount or more power as with the Bullydog on the 90hp setting.

Truck sounds better, Idles smoother, and makes less noise under throttle (I dont have to use the electronics now running around town!)

Good to know. Is a fuel sytem upgrade needed, such as FASS? Any dyno #'s? How much does a set cost?

 

With just the injectors a FASS is probably not needed.

But I would make that a priority (fuel system of some sort).

I have not dynoed yet, it might be a while until I can get a Hot Rod Pump and some other little things on to the truck.

 

I love my 70's. Same here. I don't run the boxes very high anymore. 90% daily driving is now done with BDPP-off, Edge lev.1.

 

I love mine to but there is no way im gettin rid of myt Quad box. LOL I run it on the low setting right now till I can get all the mods that I need to support the power done.

 

How much should I be saving, just in case I want to get a set of injectors? Ignore my signature statement about staying stock - I knew that wouldn't last....

 

I was wondering what people recomended a box for injectors? I know that you can get more power of a Box but I am looking for more fuel economy. I have a bet with some friends and co-works about getting 20mpg out of my truck. They claim that it is not possible and I think that it is.

Would new injectors help me with my white smoke on start up?

The Dynomite's are done on an exhange basis so you basically send in your existing tips or complete injectors and they extrude hone them to their specs.

I dont think it will cure white smoke at start up, from what I can tell thats just an attribute of the 3rd gen trucks especially modified ones.

I can tell you though that my truck smokes less than before now that I have turned off the Bully Dog downloader and set the TST to level 1 or 0.
But I still have the same amount of power that the BDDL on 90hp would give me.

My old 99 would smoke white at start up it got worse after I put in 125hp injectors.

 

Pourin, I would think that the injectors would like the timing on 1 that the TST gives. I think for most people. Injectors, TST on full timing a FASS with a good intake and muffler would be the ideal set up. ks
