70-90mph on smarty w/cruise = 100mph?

When I accelerate from 70 to 90 on cruise the smarty forces me to 100. It only happens on cruise but it is an interesting feature. I thought it was the Bully Dog guys that were havin that problem??? Dern DL's are so unpredictable. What gives Bob/Marco (BARCO? )

They probably figured that if you are going to accelerate from 5MPH over the speed limit (at least on most highways) then you shouldn't "punk" out at 90 and should go for the century mark!

Who knows, though that is interesting. I will have to see if it does it on mine!

Am I in some texas time warp? This is to much. Wheres the guy with the square boom box on his shoulder? Maybe he can riddle me whats wrong with my Smarty.

Tried it again today with the smarty on sw6 and it still does it but its not as extreme. It only goes up about 5 before it slowly starts to drop. Very weird.

Anytime you add a performance box and use the cruise to accelerate it will overshoot. The cruise control isn't quick enough to react to the faster acceleration.
I always get to the desired speed before setting the cruise.

Sorry B I didnt explain very good. I already had the cruise set at 70 and I then accelerated to 90 to pass a car. I instantly withdrew my foot from the pedal and the smarty took over and carried me to 100 before it slowly started to decline. I wish it was just some problem with the setting cruise, that would be better. I tried it 3 times and got the same result. Did it again today after I turned down the smarty.

agreed. Never experienced that particular problem. On Scary Larry stacked with an XZT with NO torque management, i use my cruise functions and they are smooth as butter!

Ok, my bad. Thought you was using the cruise to accelerate. I haven't had that issue.

My cruise works flawlessly with Smarty...and everything else I have ever had.

Something else is wrong.

wire a switch into the ABS wire, kills speedo and ABS lights and parking brake lights come on....but you can accelerate all the to the rev limiter which is more than 2800rpm for sure!

about the smarty carrying you from 90-on to 100...yep i've had that happen when using a smarty.
