600 Hp Turbo
I was wanting to know which turbo is going to support 600-650 rwhp on my setup? I have the g56 and would like to keep some decent spool time. I am thinking of the gt3788r stage lll turbo. Whats everyones opinion?

Ask Soulezoo, or call Tom at turbo resource. Tom's number is 928-505-4610. I have a gt4088r on my 6.7 which is what Tom recommended but we are thinking we need to go bigger. Soulezoo is a Garrett expert and a very nice and helpful guy. If you want 600-650 I'm gonna guess he will tell you to do a gt4088r or a gt4094r. I think that 3788 will be a little toasty at 600.

A couple of guys on here run that setup. It's gonna be a little laggy/smokey but with a six speed it is more controlable. Just save up and go with a stocker/s400 twins kit from MPI. With a single it will be a trade off no matter which turbo you get. Twins, you get both, good spool and plenty of cooling ability with useable power. Sometimes I wish I would of saved my money and went this route.

It depends a lot on what you want to do with it once you reach 600-650 HP. If you just want dyno numbers then a 62/71/13ss will get you over 600 but if you want to maintain that and pull with it on a circuit then that's a whole other story. If you just want to have fun and turn it on kill once in a while and daily drive with it then like I said the 62/71/13ss will work fine for that, spool nice with your 6 speed and won't break the bank.

Last time I was on the dyno I made 607 and I daily drive it on kill and have for two years now plus I tow on kill too but I'm careful and smart about it. When I do tow I never see more than around 1360 EGT on a hot day up a 7%. I haven't been convinced to go to twins yet as this single has done everything I've asked out of it. The nice thing about a single such as a 62 is there is always a clear and defined upgrade path to twins using that same turbo over say an s400 or 480 if you go mental. Trying to go with a 64 over a 400 or 480 is a lot.

650 with a single you'll see egts in the 1450-1500 range. With twins you'll see 1200 or so.
If nothing else, go with a turbo you can use in a twins setup down the road. If you do it that way, sourceautomotive.biz has the 2/3 kit so it's not as expensive once you decide to upgrade + it fits like a glove.
