just wanted to see if anyone else has ran it to the same problem as me, the housing on the turbo has cracked right by the manifold causing a nasty exhaust leak, dealership wont cover it cause of the exhaust system on the truck.

does anyone know model number of turbo the 04.5 600 motor comes with?

what kind of exhaust system ? i was told by my dealer by putting a different exhaust system on would NOT void any warrantees.... go to a different dealer

 

and if they persist, an aftermarket turbo will probably be cheaper and better. lots of vendors on here will help you select what's right for our application.

just a 4" system but since i had no cat they screwed me, tried taking it to another dealer but they had a rep come out so they really screwed me, so now my 8 month old truck has no warrantey at all, they said if i put a stock turbo back on the truck and my cat they will give it back to me.

They have to prove that your exhaust broke the housing. Otherwise they cant void the warranty. Also, cant void the whole truck because of an exhaust system. If you have a broken radio cant say its because of the exhaust.

I had a dealership try and void the warranty on my truck because of the aftermarket stereo and gauges. Said the gauges caused my lift pump to fail. I told him to stick it where the sun don't shine and to fix the son of a gun and I'll be back tomorrow to pick it up. Never had another problem with that dealer.

 

If the dealership wont fix it, dont waste your money. by an aftermarket housing, or call holset turbo and see if they can send you a replacement.

There are a couple on E-Bay as well. One is going for just a couple hundred.

 

Get in touch with the Attorney General. Tell them the problem. The dealer will jump through hoops after the A/G talks to them.

Went to my dealer with Quadzilla intake, ATS manifold, a modifed exhaust, the velcro still on my fuse box.

PS- It might not be a good idea to tell the A/G that you took your cat off your truck. It is against the law you know.
