Did you save any money? I wanted to order from tommy too but it would only save $15 for me after shipping. Easier just to go the the dealer and pick em up.

I'v never heard of a Checkmate jetboat. Are they made in Ohio?

 

Yes, I saved about $25. even after paying for the shipping.

As for the boats, yes they are made in Ohio. They made mostly 21 ft and smaller years back. Now they make offshore speed boats too. Todays Checkmate is not the same people as the original company though.

 

A quick read through yeilds ~50* EGT reduction?

Any sound diference? Like louder? I'm already straight piped, but have seriously been considering a true 4" before the Juice comes out to go with my Edge, LOL, Okay, I'm about to forget the 555 Juice, but I will have a timing box to go with my pressure box someday

I doubt it will be noticably louder.

Exhaust system backpressure is too much from factory (at least more than what Cummins wants), so any help is positive.

I am reading thought this thead and it sounds like getting a 4" downpipe is a cheap, but has good gains on 03-04 trucks looking for lower EGT's.

Sounds like a couple of people have this installed, but have not commented on the EGT reduction. Can I expect 75* drop by swapping the cast elbow, the down pipe, the intermediate pipe, and muffler?

Costs look to be $175 for the parts, and $175 for a muffler. So is this mod worth $450?

 

mines a 2nd gen, but i got my 4'' downpipe and 4'' pipe to get to the front of the bed cost me a little over a hundred bucks. then i got a 4x6 inch peice of steel do do my 'y pipe' for 135 bucks. then picked up my stacks off of ebay for round a hundred. pics in gallery.
