The '08 steering helped mine a lot and wasn't that expensive, I'm running 35" BFG mudders that are worn all kinds of funny and no steering shock and no hint of death wobble at all. I'm going to add a heim jointed track bar, don't know which one yet, and a steering box brace and that should be it.

I think I paid almost $300 after tax for the kit and the pitman arm but I got a discount because I work for a repair shop. I wouldn't pay the extra $120 or whatever they wanted for the steering shock so I'm just going to get a Rancho one for $45 at some point. Right now though it's fine without anything.

if you want stuff to last then you need to walk (no run) away from heim joints on the road. High quality stuff with grease fittings is going to be your only solution.

good luck

Why is that? I've run heims on my cars in daily driver status for years with no issues. Especially something like the track bar where it shouldn't see any direct impact loads I can't see it really affecting things. I'm also not used to something this heavy either though so that may affect it.

Mopar Super Center has the "AE" kit: everything including the pitman arm and stabilizer for $322 not including shipping.

That's the steering shock I'll probably end up getting, or one like it and shipping will be up there but that's still a pretty good deal.

I really don't see any problem with them on a track bar, but most set-ups I have seen usually have a bushing in the axle end to help with vibrations and then the joint in the other end with a teflon seating to keep wear down. Other then my experience with hiems wearing out fast, (in my state) they are not legal to have on any steering linkage and will not pass safety inspection. It's just to hard to keep them free of debris, and the grease to keep them lubed just acts like a grit magnet. Metal agains metal with an abrasive compound in between usually doesn't make for a lasting set-up.

If you decide to do it let us know how it turns out, I hope I am completely wrong and you find a great / lasting set-up.
