Has anyone tried a big magnet on their filter to see if it catches any metal? I got a decent size high power magnet I put on my CAT 750 filter. I plan on cutting it apart @ 5K to see what it has picked up.

THE FILTER PADS DO REALLY WORK, NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS.THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING.TAKE A LOOK AT THE PHOTO AND NOTICE THE DIME SIZE CIRCLES.THE CIRCLES REPRESENT METAL!

This Is An Oil Filter, But I Ran It For 7500 Miles Then Took It Off And Cut It Open Then Wiped The Top (right)side Off And Poured A Whole Bunch Of Diesel On It, So That You Can See That There Is Metal In Your Fuel As Well As Your Oil.

Of course there's going to be metal in your oil!

Can you explain further what you mean by "THE CIRCLES REPRESENT METAL"?

YES, THAT'S RIGHT, BUT THE IDEA IS TO GET RID OF THE ENGINE WEAR CAUSING METAL

THE CIRCLES ARE THE MAGNETS.THE CIRCLES ARE ONLY THERE BECAUSE THE MAGNET IS ATTRACTING THE METALS,OTHERWISE IF THERE ARE NO METALS PRESENT,THEN THERE WOULD'NT BE ANY CIRCLES.

It's like a taking a piece of paper, pouring fine metal flakes on it and then run a magnet underneath.
The circles represent the locations of the magnets on the can.
