FASS with 5 Micron Filter

Read somewhere (can't find it) that someone with a FASS was running a 5 micron fuel filter. I gave it a try...a Baldwin BT372-MPG. I was worried about enough flow at WOT. Tested yesterday and no problems. Could not pull FP down below 13.5 psi and that was only momentarily.

Stock Fleetguard (FS19579) is 10 microns and the filter that comes with the FASS (hydraulic filter) is 10 also.

Some books show this filter (Baldwin BT372-MPG) as a 12 micron...but checked with Baldwin...it is a 5 micron filter.

Just an FYI...to anyone interested...this 5 micron Fuel Filter works well...up to my HP anyway, and probably a lot higher. Can't see any reason not to use the better filtration!

Maybe someone will even try the 3 micron Fleetguard #HF6604? Also a Microglass filter...and also on the approved list from FASS!

That would be Haulin In Dixie running the 5 micron Baldwin...if I remember correctly.
