suspension problems???

i have a 2008 mega cab dually.....was out hunting busted tie rod got that fixed and put in 2in eveling kit had it re-alligned, then had 285/70/17 cooper st maxx tires mounted...now when driving when i hit bumps(even the smal ones) it rough as hell sounds like the shocks are bottoming out(makes a loud pounding noise) and almost hard to control...question is if i put longer shocks on will this fix any of my problems?..if not what can i do to fix it?

thanks

With your lift the shocks are topping out. Bilstein 5100's are 2" longer. Should do the trick.

seeing how a leveling kit only affected the front suspension i dont see why you would need to change the rear shocks unless you just wanted to have new ones all the way around, just my 2 cents

How many miles are on your truck? I just finished reading an artical in the 75 issue from "Turbo Diesel Register" that one member of this group stated his factory shocks were wornout at 60,000 miles and replace them with Bilstien 5100 front and rear.
I will be replacing mine sometime this year as I have 52,000 on my 08 Mega Cab and I tow a 5er.

I replaced my stockers the first week. I must have been supplied Dodge's weakest front springs. It would bottom out constantly.

My wife could compress the stockers easily. And no, she's not an Amazon.
