Hopefully they put that cleaning plug back in. Geez these systems are like eating red meet everyday and not being alowed to take a dump...

another interesting issue is that alot of the parts required to do a proper repair haven't been available for a few months now. I had a truck that needed an APPS (06) that sat here for over a month before the customer finally went to a wrecking yard and brought me a used one to get him on the road. EGR coolers, EGR valves are just starting to show available. I've had some parts on order for two months and have been "limping" the customer vehicles along until the proper repair can be made for many of these soot issues. BTW I agree....most people that bought a 6.7 could have been perfectly happy with a 5.7 gas. Most 6.7's I deal with IF they are USED HARD live a perfectly happy no check engine light life. Also.....if the TSB's for cleaning the system are followed, and the parts are available, I've had pretty good success with curing the CEL blues...

So far I won't own a 6.7......
