16" wheels

Will 2nd Gen factory, Aluminum Wheels fit on a 3rd Gen truck?
I know the lug pattern is the same, but will they clear the calipers, etc?

AFAIK, the 16" rims will not clear the disc brake calipers. I think some people tried when the 17" tires were at a premium over 16" tires.
