If you still have a warranty on your engine then I would only use Fleetguard LF16035 oil filters. As long as your using Fleetguard oil filters they can't say anything to you if you have an oil related engine problem.

Thanks, I'll will still use FleetGuard Filters. Next will be what oil to use. I used to use the Walmart brand in my old truck. But the new one might get a little better oil. I just realized that I posted this in the wrong section, the 6.7 engine instead of the 5.9. Maybe someone can move it. Sorry

Apparently when you take your truck in with a CEL and they put a new turbo on it, they want to change the oil b/c they took the oil lines loose, and apparently they are supposed to change the fuel filter as per Chrysler.

And according to my service department, Chrysler doesn't cover the oil/filter and fuel filter change. So, they hit me up for a bunch of $$$$. Needless to say, I was ******. But what are you gonna do? They got you bent over.

So, to get to the point... Who makes Mopar filters?

That is BS from them. Unless you approved them for something they're going to charge you then it is their deal and part of their fix.

The last I heard was Fleetguard but am not 100% sure. When Fleetguard made the Mopar filters they were made with standard paper media not the newer synthetic media they use in the Stratapore filters. The synthetic media is why the Stratapore oil filter cost $4.00 more then the standard Fleetguard paper media oil filter. Also the Stratapore filters better then the old paper media used in many oil filters on the market today.
