No exhaust brake on SLT 2500?

I went to dodge to spec out a 2500 and with the SLT trim the exhaust brake did not show up on the options list. In the laramie trim the exhaust brake shows up as a $0 option. What gives?

Luke, as a dealer do you see the exhaust brake available on a SLT 2500?

The only reason I am looking at a 2500 is the 3500 does not offer a SRW longbed.

I don't know anything about the SRW 3500 longbed, but, to my understanding, the exhaust brake is standard equiptment on all trucks with the 6.7 engine, that would explain the $0 option. I would be willing to bet that you can get a 3500 SRW longbed truck also.

The Dodge site does not show the option for an 8 foot bed SRW 3500. I checked Edmunds,KBB and Cars.com and they are the same as the Dodge site. Hopefully it is available special order.

High Velocity - Can you give us any more info on how you ordered yours?

I noticed the no full size spare with towing package also. Dodge does some weird stuff with how you can equip a vehicle. Many times one selection removes another for no obvious reason.

It is always best to go to your local Dodge dealer and see if a salesperson will do a print out of the truck you want and with the options wanted to see the availablity of said options. JMHO

C&C, my dealer just specified 8 foot bed on the order. I just checked out the Dodge site. It won't let me do the price and build on an '08, but for an '07, you can select an 8 foot box unless you select a Mega Cab instead of QC. Then, of course, you're only choice is a short box

I just checked the Dodge site again and found the same thing. You can select the longbed with the QC as you said but it is a DRW truck. There is not the option of SRW when I get to the options page. Even the tires listed as optional are the 235 DRW tires. I wonder if this is a regional thing, I am in California. Guess it's time to see the dealer as tankn60 said.
