Another High Idle Question?
My buddy has the same truck as the one in my sig only difference is it's a quad instead of mega.
When he engages his high idle the turbo spools up and dam near sounds like a jet ready to take off. Mine on the other hand doesn't spool the turbo.
Why is there a difference between his and my truck?
Jamie

Mine spools up and makes the jet sound only when I start it on mornings when it's cold enough to use the grid heater, then I engage high idle, and then turn the exhaust brake on.
So, unless you are starting yours under different temp conditions than he is, I'm at a loss to say why there is a difference. I wonder if your trucks have different ECM flash levels, which could make a difference like this?
