No engine light but did a scan and codes stored was

Codes were reset and will test again in 1 month

Any ideas why codes went off?????

 

if your truck are running good now? maybe it was just a "bug" or something?........

 

As long as the codes are "stored" they don't apply to anything current. Could be a one-time miss but then they reset or met the parameters for the next test. Only "Active" codes matter. DC doesn't even waist any time diagnosing "stored" codes.

 

Well, not even 75 miles later my CEL came on since my reset!!! But it turned back off after my 5-7 starts. I pulled over immediately to do key check but all i got was bars again. When I get back in town, leaving for houston again monday morning, i will go back to dealership and see what codes was stored this time. Maybe I actually get a fix this time instead of a reset!!!!!

 

What are you using the check the codes? How did you know P0463 was tripped twice?

 

Went to dealer cause CEL came on then off. They used their scan tools.

Well, now 140 miles later my CEL came on again. OMG This time did key check and 2 codes popped up.

But now CEL is off again after 5-7 ignition starts. Truck runs fine i think. But im always toting 22,000 Pounds so I wouldnt be able to tell if it was slow cause its always a dog. lol Keep ya informed when i get back in town. I think my ecm is only AE. Only thing ever done to truck is tsb low line pressure for transmission. Still getting 8-9 mpg toting my loads. 16k miles to date 99 percent towing heavy.

 

Get the AU version of the flash and both the codes will not come back....speaking from experience!

 

ARGHHHH, 1400 miles later, basically 2 days later, dang CEL came on again with same 2 codes. p0513 and p245a. My truck is starting to hate me. Ive been asking for this AU flash and they dont wanna give it to me but this should be more then enough reason to give it to me.

 

hahahah, after total of 2700 miles driven this week with the above cel lights coming on. After i drop off my trailer, not even 2 miles down the road, **** CEL came on. haha

 

just about ANY vehicle I look at anymore has stored codes in them....and some quite a few. Just the way things are anymore. Keep shopping around for dealers. If you came in our door it wouldn't even be an issue.

 

AU flash will fix p245a. I know it is a pain, but I'd take it in to the dealer when you get time.

FINALLY GOT MY AU!!!!!!!! also something wierd. I have never seen my over mpg reach 17 except on interstate. in city its always around 12-14. well, it hit 17 on way home. very weird
